Maine’s Julia Gagnon is one step closer to being the next American Idol.

22-year-old Julia Gagnon should play for the Red Sox, because she keeps knocking it out of the park! In case you've been living under a rock, Julia's been smashing it on American Idol since the auditions, when she was awarded a platinum ticket. The history major still in college from Cumberland, Maine, is now in your top 10!

Last night, Meghan Trainor mentored the Top 12 before they performed their favorite Billboard #1 hits live from Hollywood. That paved the way for two more idols to go home,  leaving the top 10 by the end of the night. Julia sang "Something in the Orange", and of course she killed it.

I'm not even related to Julia, yet I was on pins and needles waiting to see if she made it into the top 10!  She was the last name announced!! That is life-changing in itself. Since the beginning of Idol in 2002, the top five to 12 have gone on tour. She could make around $150,000 for six months of work. Not too bad if she goes no further up the Idol ladder. But look out, cause this Maine girl has the pipes and likability to go a whole lot further!

She needs your vote to keep going!

How can I vote for Mainer Julia Gagnon?

It's actually up to us to help her fulfill her destiny!

All of Maine has your back, Julia!
