If you've heard of Peter Geiger - you think one of two things.

You either think, 'Oh, that's the amazing Editor in Chief of the Maine, Farmers' Almanac.' OR you think, 'Holy cow! Peter is the house that hands out king-size candy bars for Halloween!'

He's both. Covid has made the last three years hard to do what he loves - but he's back and bigger and better than ever! Peter loves Halloween and has been handing out king-sized candy bars for over 25 years. Usually, he hands out candy at his home in Lewiston. But he lives on a cul-de-sac and it can get crowded with 2,500 kids. That's where Geiger comes in handy. Geiger is one of the largest family owned and operated, and the largest privately held, promotional products distributor in the world. Right in Lewiston. If you see it off the Turnpike, you'll see tents set up and that's the Halloween extravaganza this year!

To crank up the Halloween factor, Geiger is nestled right near the Mt Hope Cemetary! There will be inflatables, people dressed up, lights, and plenty of Halloween fun!

Peter is an expert at knowing what kids want and need. Along with giant candy bars, there will also be some school supplies to scoop up...while supplies last. The candy Peter starts collecting in June! He has the most of the most popular Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. There are other favorites as well including Kit Kat, Skittles, Butterfinger, and Twix. There are 27 different varieties. Almost 1,300 pounds of chocolate!

AWESOME SIDENOTE:  Peter gave up candy for Lent in 1985. He never eats the stuff...ever.

Stay tuned, because you will only get one king-size candy bar if you don't know the password. That will be released the morning of Monday, October 31! Be sure to dress up, and get ready to have a great time! Only Peter Geiger could pull this off!
