New Farm-to-Table Gastropub Will be Opening in Buxton, Maine
I am here once again to let you guys know we have another new restaurant to look forward to!
I’ve filled you in on some new places opening in Portland but since I know we aren’t all city folk, I’m going to tell you what I know about a new spot opening in Buxton.
Oak & Ember Gastropub
Per usual, Portland Food Map kindly filled us in on a new restaurant opening in the building that was once occupied by Buxton Common.
As their Instagram post shares, the farm-to-table gastropub is currently under construction with a hopeful launch happening late in the summer.
You can have high hopes for Oak & Ember and have your expectations exceeded because one of the owners helped launch Central Provisions and was the wine manager at Via Vecchia, so you can trust they know what they’re doing.
Those are both fantastic restaurants here in Portland and I’m confident Oak & Ember will bring a new, fun, and delicious twist to the Buxton area.
The gastropub plans to host public wine tastings as well as special events and wine classes, giving those in the area something new to do and try, which is always exciting. Once the doors open in late summer, Oak & Ember will be open Wednesday-Sunday for dinner and will host brunch on the weekends.
This is an exciting and fresh addition to the Buxton area and we can’t wait to welcome them to the neighborhood!
