Portland’s Porthole Restaurant on The Daily Show With Trevor Noah
Trevor Noah tries to convince Lewis Black to dine outside. Portland, Maine is used as a reason why he shouldn't.
If you are familiar with The Daily Show (now the Daily Social Distancing Show), then you are familiar with Lewis Black. Before the pandemic, Lewis had a recurring segment called 'Back in Black'. Lewis is a very funny comedian and a curmudgeon. It's a great combo. So when Trevor asks Lewis to go to a restaurant in New York because they are open to outdoor dining, he doesn't want to and thinks it's a bad idea.
At 2 minutes in, Portland's Porthole Restaurant is used as an example of why outdoor dining is not ideal.
It seems fitting that they used a News Center Maine story about the owner of the Portlhole concerned about the weather. In Maine, that is a major concern. Great news! Unlike New York City...no rats!
