There's been a lot of action going on at the Rock Row complex in Westbrook, Maine, recently.

Final touches are being put on the sprawling medical campus that will be the home of New England Cancer Specialists as well as the Dempsey Center. New England Cancer Specialists has announced that the currently timeline for their grand opening is February of 2025.

Rock Row was also struck by its first closure as well. DripBar closed officially on December 31 as the first retail or restaurant to go out business inside the complex. But when one door closes, another one opens. And Rock Row didn't waste any time announcing a new addition to the development.

That would national fast-casual health chain Playa Bowls. It's one of the fastest-growing chains in America, offering up specialties like acai and pitaya bowls, juices, smoothies and more. The chain operates several locations throughout New England but their Rock Row location will be their first venture into Maine.

It's another intriguing addition as Rock Row's plans remain as ambitious as ever. According to the Portland Press Herald, Cinemark has agreed to a deal that will see them open their first Maine location in Westbrook as part of the Rock Row development.

Rock Row did not announce an opening date for Playa Bowls as of this writing but it is expected in Building 1a as part of the medical campus.
