Smashing Pumpkins Announce Reunion Tour, Will Play Boston In July
It's been one of the worst kept secrets in rock over the past few weeks, Billy Corgan has reunited the Smashing Pumpkins (minus D'Arcy) and the band will embark on a nationwide tour with one stop in Boston at the TD Garden on Tuesday, July 31st.
The band stated in their announcement today that their live set for all shows will focus on their first 5 studio albums. Those albums include Gish, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness and produced almost all of the band's biggest hits.
The band has titled the tour "Shiny and Oh So Happy". Tickets will go on sale for the Boston date Friday, February 23rd at 10am.
