Billy Corgan is 'trying to bring something new to the table.'

The Smashing Pumpkins have announced their first album with original members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha in 18 years.

'This is just an unrealistic thing for somebody who hasn't been onstage for 19 years — to expect to play a three-hour show,' Corgan said.

'People say, 'Oh, you were so angry.' No. I was in complete control of my emotions. I was playing the character of a very angry person.'

Studio City residents called in police after parking and noise issues at the band's house show led to aggravation.
