Earlier this summer, drummer Philip Selway promised Radiohead would beef up their studio schedule come September. Now that September is upon us, Selway says the English rockers will throw themselves into recording in hopes of completing their next album this fall.

“We’ve got quite a busy autumn coming up,” Selway told the U.K.’s Press Association (via NME). “We want to finish a record and that’s where we’re at. We’re just launching ourselves into it.”

Previously, Selway said the band were working “in fits and starts” between the bandmates’ respective projects (Selway, for his part, dropped his sophomore solo effort, Weatherhouse, last year), but it sounds like the follow-up to 2011’s The King of Limbs is truly underway. In that vein, longtime Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich shared a photo of Thom Yorke in the studio back in July, effectively igniting fans’ anticipation of the band's ninth album.

While Selway was, up until recently, touring behind Weatherhouse, Yorke made his first appearances in support of his own 2014 solo effort, Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes, last month.
