Survey Finds What Maine’s Favorite Halloween Candy Is For 2015
Influenster did the survey and they didn't stop with Maine. Check out all 50 states and their favorite halloween candy too!
According to Mashable, survey results done Influenster suggests that Maine's favorite Halloween candy for 2015 is...Starburst! Despite the fact they have a bad habit of sticking to your teeth and have never really been able to improve on the original 4 flavors, Starburst remain a classic Halloween candy staple.
But looking at some of the other states, you have to wonder what's going on. First off, New Hampshire was the only state in the country to pick a Tootsie Roll as their favorite Halloween candy. What is this New Hampshire, 1920?
Also, what's up with West Virginia? Respondents to the survey chose Oreo cookies as their top Halloween candy! Ummmm, as far as I know Oreos are not invited to the same Halloween party that Snickers, Reese's and M&M's are hanging out at. Maybe they don't have Halloween in West Virginia?
Oh, and Maryland chose Almond Joy as their favorite Halloween treat. Maybe it's just me, but Almond Joy has to be the least satisfying candy to receive on Halloween ever. There were times as a kid I think I would have rather had nana's popcorn hall than a stupid Almond Joy.
And lastly, Arizona chose Toblerone?! I had to Google it to make sure it wasn't a variety of Chef Boyardee pasta. I think Arizona is just trolling us all because there's no way that their FAVORITE Halloween candy is something that most people have never even heard of. That or all of Arizona's 200 hipsters took this survey and feel really cool right now.
