Tesla Planning Showroom and Repair Center in Portland, Maine
As many states, businesses and individuals begin to shift their attention towards electric vehicles, the rise in demand for Tesla cars in Maine has grown. Specifically in the Portland metro, where there are already a substantial amount of Teslas driving around.
With sales continuing at a strong pace, Tesla is moving forward with plans to expand their reach and draw in new consumers for their electric cars. That requires two things; a dedicated showroom for Tesla vehicles and a repair and maintenance facility to keep them running smoothly.
It appears both of those things are coming to Portland, Maine.
Tesla Appears Ready to Open a Showroom and Repair Center in Portland
Based on months of information gleaned on the Tesla Motors Club forum, Tesla is planning to open a showroom, delivery center and repair facility at 35 Riverside Street in Portland.
That address was the former home of a VIP Tire Center and is located next to the Motel 6. It's also within walking distance to the Rock Row development. There are several other car dealerships within a couple miles of this location, so it makes sense given the constraints on availability for large spaces.
What You Can Expect At a Tesla Showroom and Repair Center
Tesla showrooms are used like a typical car dealership. You're not going to drive off the lot in a new Tesla within hours. Instead, showrooms are used to help you decide how you want to customize your own Tesla and then place an order for it directly. Showrooms also serve a direct delivery space as well.
Tesla repair centers are even more needed in the area. Training mechanics can fix Tesla vehicles with parts directly from Tesla to ensure the vehicles are running in premium condition.
When Will the Tesla Showroom and Repair Center in Portland, Maine, Open?
Based on permitting, inspections and build out, the Tesla showroom and repair center in Portland, Maine, should be open by the summer of 2025.
