Are you superstitious? If so, you might want to be sitting down when you read this. According to longtime Maine publication Farmer's Almanac, something pretty incredible will happen next week. On Thursday, 12/12, at 12:12am, the moon will turn full. How crazy is that?? I really don't consider myself all that superstitious...but this is just weird. The Almanac didn't say if this has ever happened before, but I can't imagine it has. I mean really, what are the chances?

So if you do agree that this is rather remarkable, what do you think - is it lucky, or unlucky? The number 12 is significant for many different reasons. Farmer's Almanac lists them all on their page, but here are just a few:

The “Twelve Days of Christmas,” start on December 25 and runs through January 5th.

The number of hours on a clock face is 12.

The average human has 12 ribs.

The number of inches in a foot is 12.

So what does it all mean? Who knows...but you have to admit, it's pretty cool!
