This is one of those things that when you see it, you do a double take because it doesn't quite make any sense.

A pink toy Jeep, typically used by a young child to drive around at home, was sitting parked on Temple Street in Portland around 10 a.m. Thursday morning in and it stood out like a sore thumb compared to the full-size cars around it.

This picture provided by Celeste is a little blurry, but you get the idea of just how small it is.

There are so many questions about this little Jeep that we need to ask. Did a kid actually drive this and park it here? If so, where did they go? Why did they leave their door open? If they're a young child, I get it. They still have a lot to learn about driving, like closing your door when you get out of your car.

The actual kid parking here doesn't really hold much water. So is this someone trying to be cute by placing this toy car on the street in any empty space? Or are they using it to try to save the space for an actual car someone is bringing later? If the latter is the case, that's a pretty shady move.

Why didn't they shut the door? Is it to get people's attention?

What happens if a Portland Parking Enforcement Officer comes by? Do they give them a ticket? Where would they put it? It's not a real windshield and there aren't any real wipers to tuck it under.

They can't even get a real license plate number to ticket this car.

The meter was expired unless someone paid for the spot using the mobile app and some sort of license plate number.

Someone must know the story behind this toy car parked on Temple Street. If so, let us in on what's going on!
