Limitless Wrestling is bringing a major professional wrestling event to Lewiston, Maine, on Saturday, August 9. The event is deemed the 'Vacationland Cup' and will feature notable stars like Matt and Jeff Hardy, Tommy Dreamer and Maine's own Fandango.

In a surprise twist, 71-year-old Tony Atlas is set to step through the ropes and have a match as part of the card. Atlas took several years off from competing in the ring but has taken part in a few matches over the last couple years.

Tony Atlas Has Called Lewiston and Auburn, Maine, His Home For Years Now

While Atlas was born in Virginia and spent many years of his life on the road, he's called both Lewiston and Auburn his home for more than three decades now with plenty of ups and downs.

During an interview with News Center Maine, Atlas described being homeless in Lewiston and turning to drugs and alcohol as a crutch. He even admitted to dumpster diving to try to find food.

After getting sober, Atlas has worked at several health clubs across the twin cities as a fitness coach and personal trainer. His return to the ring in Lewiston will be special.
