Foodie Paradise

Portland, Maine is a foodie destination with (in my biased opinion) the best seafood in the country, and incredible restaurants all throughout the city. There is truly something for everyone but that also means it can be a challenge to stand out. Especially in this day in age.

That’s why it was such an honor for Twelve to be featured in Vogue.

Portland Foreside

There has been a huge project in the works between Munjoy Hill and Portland’s waterfront. As News Center Maine reported, this huge undertaking is taking a 10-acre lot and transforming it into a multi-use area. There will be housing, offices, restaurants, and more. One of those restaurants being Twelve.

Twelve

Twelve, named after its historical location being in building twelve of what was Portland Company where the project is being done, has had a huge and much-needed facelift According to Munjoy Hill News, Building 12 was built in 1895. According to News Center Maine, the building itself was taken down, moved, and reassembled brick by brick.

The restaurant will take up the first floor of Building 12 with office space and living space above reports Munjoy Hill News.

Twelve is set to be a farm-to-table restaurant with a focus on the food of Maine. Twelve will be manned by chefs Matt Ginn and Colin Wyatt according to Portland Food Map who have impressive resumes including Evo Kitchen & Bar and Eleven Madison Park.

Vogue

Vogue just released America’s Most Anticipated Restaurant Openings of 2022
and Twelve made the list for Portland, Maine. The list has an anticipated opening date of Summer 2022 and note that it will only be open seasonally. Check out the full article here.
