According to the Bangor Daily News, Portland Police were called to the scene of a shooting in the Old Port at roughly 12:30 a.m. early Monday morning. The shooting took place at the high traffic intersection of Fore street and Market street near Old Port Tavern Billiards and Bull Feeney's.

There were two men injured in the shooting, but police believe those injuries were non-life threatening. Police blocked off a section of Fore St. to traffic for several hours overnight but they are reportedly now open.

Additionally, police followed a vehicle that they believed might be linked to the Old Port shooting to an apartment in Portland but no further information on suspects or motive has been released at this time. The Bangor Daily News will continue to update their story here.

The shooting took place in almost the exact same spot as one back in May, that killed a teenager and led to the arrest of two suspects. The Portland Press Herald reported on that story here.

More information as it comes in.
