While everyone is super excited about Halloween next week, there are a few things happening before and afterwards to put on your radar:

This weekend:

Saturday morning (9am) will be the release of Allagash Ghoulship, a unique pumpkin based beer that was fermented in the open air. Available only at the brewery, limit two bottles per person.

Saturday afternoon: Goods from the Woods @ Oxbow Brewing Company - What a better way to celebrate autumn than to show up at a country brewery, sample some beer, eat some food, and hang out. The weather should dry up by then, so if you're looking to be somewhere Saturday, this is what I recommend. The cost is $20 to get in, and you'll need cash for food. Noon-5pm. Details here.

Coming soon

I'll be talking about this on air next week and will give you a run down of events, but let this serve as a warning to your liver - there are over 80 events happening over the course of this week, all showcasing Maine beer and having fun with the Maine beer community.

There's everything from scavenger hunts to tap takeovers and everything in between. You can check out their website www.portlandbeerweek.org which is being updated as more events are being added - so bookmark it and don't party too too hard on Halloween - save a little for Portland Beer Week.

Until then, have a great week!
