Skinny, shopping at health food stores, quiet, sober, shy... yeah, those aren't the words these people used to describe us.

Pretty cool video. No hate or venom in there I could detect. Just impressions. No harm done. What did you think?

Lemme guess... initially you're thinking like, screw you! Right? They're all laughing and joking and giggling at our expense.

Then as you continue you start to think about us Americans a bit and realize, ok, yeah, some of these are on the mark. Yes, some are like that. SOME are like that. Not all. We have other ones too though! And others. And some others too. The US has plenty of different people to contradict the overall foreign image of us.

WE DO have those people they described, yes. And you know what... that's what makes us who we are! No two are the same. We're a friggin pot of people gumbo! All kinds of cool s--- in there! We want skinny AND fat people. Loud AND quiet people. Short AND tall. Drunk AND sober. McDonald's fans AND those eating salads. That's what makes us who we are, different people doing different things.

Are those kids saying, "our country is like THIS and our people are like THIS and it's good we're all the same?" One way only? Robots marching along easy to be recognized and lumped together? Well that's just not us. We all do our own thing and that's a good thing. It seemed like a couple of them had a bit of a condescending tone to their answers. Some Americans are fat? Some Americans have bad wardrobe taste? So, by laughing when saying that, does that mean being fat or having bad wardrobe taste isn't good or makes you a lesser person? A fat person can't get s-- done? Only fashionable people can be president or a popular athlete, actor, surgeon or one to make scientific breakthroughs?

It takes EVERY kind of people.
