It's fair to say we deserve this. After being saddled with a strong dose of frigid temperatures and powerful snow/ice storms, Mother Nature will lift her heavy hand this coming week as Maine, New Hampshire and the rest of the northeast will see a major warm up as soon as Thursday.

Some parts of Maine could see a spring-like feel, with temps on Thursday and Friday hanging in the 40's, with a few towns likely to make it to 50 and above. New Hampshire should see 50's outside of the coastline.

Unfortunately, the heat wave is short lived, as temperatures will cool off for the weekend. However, those temps will be seasonal, not the bitter arctic air that we've been experiencing for the past several weeks. Let's call this the momentary thaw that we all desperately need. You can put that tropical vacation off for another week!
