Well we've already got Lincoln's, so why not another Presidential bar into the mix? According to Portland Food Map, construction has begun on a bar/lounge that will be called Sagamore Hill at 130 Park Street near a collection of other bars and restaurants off of Congress Street. The owners are hopeful for a grand opening in May.

Sagamore Hill will share its name with the historic home of Teddy Roosevelt, whom the owners of the bar share an affection for. The sample photo of the bar, also shared by Portland Food Map, has a distinct similarity to the study in which Roosevelt spent much of his time in during his stays at Sagamore Hill.

The bar/lounge will have seating for nearly 100 people during the warmer months, will nearly 40 sidewalk seats available for those that like to enjoy the outdoors. The new bar will be housed in the lobby of the former Lafayette Hotel building.
