Chili’s By The Maine Mall Has An Aggressive Parking Policy
As national chain restaurants have changed with the times, including more people ordering takeout, they've also had to alter the parking lots that surround their restaurants. That includes the Chili's location in South Portland by the Maine Mall. Most people are used to seeing "to-go parking" signs right near the entrance of a restaurant with a 15-minute limit. But Chili's decided to get a little more aggressive with their signage.
Obviously tongue-in-cheek, Chili's promises to crush and immediately melt your automobile if you attempt to park in the to-go spot. Clearly, they're quite serious about their takeout business.
As of this writing, we're unaware of any cars that have been crushed and/or melted due to Chili's to-go parking policy.
