It has been another odd winter throughout New England so far. After nearly no snow to speak of in January, February has been filled with storms, plenty of snow fall and still plenty more to come.
But we've arrived at the point of winter where everyone sees the light at the end of the tunnel. The time to think spring. Warmer days and green grass. A chance to ditch bulky jackets and hats and gloves. A chance to enjoy some fresh air without a chill racing through your body.

The Farmers Almanac Releases Their Spring Forecast and It Isn't Pretty For New England
The snow is piling up and the hope for spring is that the temperatures rise quickly and it all melts away quickly. The Farmers Almanac released their spring forecast for 2025 and lets everyone in New England know that none of that is likely to happen.
Instead, the Farmers Almanac predicts a cool and precipitation-filled spring for Maine. Because of the generally cool conditions, the Farmers Almanac predicts at least one major spring snow storm with the possibility of more lingering into April.
Farmers Almanac Prediction for Holidays in Maine This Spring
The first two holidays to arrive during spring in New England will be spared any ugly weather according to the Farmers Almanac. They predict that both Patriots' Day as well as Easter will feature pleasant conditions with little chance at precipitation.
Memorial Day weekend is another story. Expect an unseasonably cool holiday weekend with an aggressive chance at rain and windy conditions. Mainers have almost come to expect that type of weather over Memorial Day.
