New England Patriots wide receiver Derrick Johnson was pretty pleased at the end of Tuesday's joint practice with the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium.

The former University of Maine wide receiver saw a lot of action when the two teams played situation football and caught several passes from Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Following Tuesday's practice, Johnson talked with The Blimp about his chances of making the Patriots. He said he also appreciates that so many people in Maine and at his alma mater are rooting for him.

The Portland Press Herald reported in June that Johnson nearly saw his dream of playing in the NFL end this spring when he suffered a left knee sprain that forced the Patriots to release him on the condition that he could rejoin the team's active roster if he could regain his health before Training Camp began in July.
