Jersey Mike’s Subs Has Grand Opening in Falmouth, Maine

It's almost embarrassing to say that I had my first Jersey Mike's sub about a year ago. Man, was I missing out. I had just assumed that it was another chain sandwich shop with mediocre sandwiches, but that was not the case at all.

I'm not sure exactly what it is about their sandwiches that sets them apart from others, but with the several that I've tried, I'm hooked on the first bite. The Buffalo Chicken Cheese Steak is typically my go-to, but their cold sandwiches are exceptional as well.

It feels like an eternity since we got the word that they were opening their new location at 240 US Route 1 in Falmouth, Maine. Living not far from the Falmouth line, I've driven by the "opening soon" sign countless times waiting for the day – and that day was a good one. As you can see, they were fully staffed and ready for a booming grand opening.

Since 2010, Jersey Mike's has raised over $135 million for local charities nationwide. So for the new franchise owner, Chris Brown, it only made sense to celebrate the grand opening with a day of giving. On opening day, he donated 100% of sales to the Falmouth Elementary School. Yes, all sales. Not just profits. Chris said in a statement, in part:

We wanted to end the school year with a bang by providing and earmarking funds to support Falmouth Elementary School. We couldn't think of a better way to announce to the community that we are here, and we want to help, all the while serving up the best submarine sandwiches!

 

You can stop by and check out the new store in person, or if you're on the run (as a lot of us often are these days), you can order for pickup through the Jersey Mike’s website, their app, or even get it delivered through your favorite third-party delivery service. They also offer curbside pickup for app orders.

The new Falmouth location is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
