Maine Has A Unique Love For One Specific 90’s Cartoon
The 90's were an incredible time for cartoon lovers to grow up. Some of the most memorable animated shows ever were created and launched during the 90's, including Doug, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, SpongeBob Squarepants, Batman: The Animated Series, Animaniacs, and more. But StreamNotes decided to take a stroll down memory lane and find out which classic 90's cartoon was beloved the most in each state, and Maine came back with a unique answer.
No other state had Darkwing Duck as their top choice other than Maine. Perhaps our love of the Disney Afternoon cartoon block on Fox 51 in the 90's contributed to our long-lasting love of the caped mallard known as Darkwing Duck. Although, #2 on the list for Maine is Doug, which was one of the greatest cartoon creations in Nickelodeon history.
StreamNotes came to these conclusions using Google analytics from the last year, which means people in Maine are still searching for episodes, clips or anything pertaining to Darkwing Duck more than any other 90's cartoon*.
*=Any cartoon created in the 90's that is rated TV-14 or higher was excluded. Sorry South Park.
So now that Animaniacs has been rebooted, perhaps it's time for Disney to consider a reboot of Darkwing Duck. It'd be a big hit here in Maine.
