Maine’s Biggest Google Obsession In 2015 Was Amy Schumer
The hype and then subsequent disappoint of comedian Amy Schumer's appearance in Maine left her as the state's #1 most googled obsession.
According to real estate bloggers Estately, Mainers couldn't spend enough time google searching things about Amy Schumer. Estately compiled a list of what every single state in the US is googling more than other states, with some predictable and fairly hilarious results.
It comes as a marginal surprise that Maine cared about Amy Schumer more than any other state in the union. Her appearance at the Cross Insurance Arena was considered a huge get and promptly sold out. That appearance resulted in several scathing blogs and negative social media reviews for being "too short" and "not worth the money". The buzz became so loud that Schumer needed to respond through various media outlets.
Predictably, New Hampshire spent a ton of time googling various Presidential candidates but their other top Google searches include heroin (educational?) and deflategate. Meanwhile, Massachusetts spent a lot of time looking up Jon Snow and details on dad bod.
