With holiday shopping season in full swing, there's more hustle and bustle around the Maine Mall than normal. People taking photos with Santa, browsing gift ideas or just trying to avoid being a last-minute shopper.

Within all of that excitement, it can be easy to miss that another new store is coming to the Maine Mall. And it's going to be an extension of a signature store that just opened in Portland's Old Port.

It's called FP Movement. As the name suggests, the brand focuses on trendy activewear and outerwear for women. That can include everything from stylish leggings to all things workout related. Their online store has been a big hit and like other retailers, FP Movement has decided to take their online success and transfer it into a brick-and-mortar approach.

FP Movement is an offshoot of Free People, a fast-growing retail chain that just recently opened a signature store in Portland's Old Port. Free People opened their first store in Maine this year at 121 Middle Street in the Old Port.

Free People specializes in boho fashion, specifically for women. The retailer operates under the same umbrella as other retailers like Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Both of those retailers operate stores nearby.

FP Movement will be the latest in a lengthy line of national retailers who have recently opened at the Maine Mall. That includes Box Lunch, Miniso as well as Squishable, that had their grand opening over the past year or so.

As of this writing, there has been no grand opening date set for FP Movement at the Maine Mall.
