Sam’s Clubs in Maine Now Let You Scan and Pay For Your Items With Your Smartphone

Hate waiting in lines at the checkout? Sam's Club has a new service that let's you scan your purchases as you put them in your cart and then walk out the door with them.

Sam's has an app on both Android and iOS called Scan & Go and it's just what it sounds like. You scan your items as you grab them off the shelves and when you're done, pay for them through the app. Done and done.

So I know what you're thinking. If people can just grab thing off the shelf and walk out, what's to prevent anyone doing a Grab & Go instead of a Scan & Go? To get out with your stuff, you hold your phone up to the customer service person at the door and they scan your receipt. Now, you're free to go with your stuff.

It certainly does make the process of shopping a lot quicker and it's available at the Sam's Locations in Scarborough, Augusta and Bangor. Links to the app are below.
