Shinedown Go Fishing Before Their Big Show in Gilford, New Hampshire
The rock band Shinedown has been on the road touring the country for the better part of the last six months. Any band that hits the road that hard and for that long are always searching for those quiet days and moments of zen away from the rock 'n roll lifestyle. As Shinedown shared on Facebook Thursday afternoon, some of that zen was found on a quiet lake in New Hampshire.
Guitarist Zach Myers shared a video as the band preparing to hit the lake for an afternoon of fishing. Despite cooler temperatures moving into the region over the last day or so, Myers proclaimed it to be a perfect day for relaxing and fishing on the lake. He also promised to update how their date went later.
Fast forward to later, and Myers shared another photo on Facebook of him in full relaxation mode in a kayak. In recent years, touring artists have planned off days around their visit to the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford because of the surrounding recreational opportunities as well as a comfortable, expanded backstage area that many acts have said is among the best in the country.
Shinedown, with special guest Jelly Roll, are set to play a sold out show in Gilford on Friday, September 16. It appears the band will be fully recharged thanks to a quiet day of soaking in some New England relaxation.
