Snapchat, the worldwide social media app that is well-known for it's pictures and short videos made a significant, and perhaps surprising announcement on Tuesday. According to WGME, Snapchat is doing away with the time limits on viewing photos and videos.

The time limit of up to 10 seconds will stay intact unless the person sending you a snap alters your options on how to view it. The option for unlimited views will become available in the latest app update. If enabled, users receiving photos/videos can view something as many times as they'd like until they close out the app.

Additional changes to Snapchat were announced as well. Users who update their "My Story" will be able to loop videos at the top of their story rather than have their oldest update show first. The app developers hope to spark more creativity with the change.
