I've been saying it for the last couple of months, but Metallica's performance at Boston Calling on May 29 was one of the best shows from the thrash legends that I've ever seen. Their energy was on another level—and the New England crowd's intensity matched what was going down on the stage.

So, whenever I get the chance to celebrate Metallica's Boston Calling set, I jump at it. On last night's Ultimate Metallica Show (July 17), I played four live tracks from the concert, and if you didn't know, you can stream and download the full concert right here.

In addition to Boston Calling, I pulled out a couple of deep cuts and some sweet covers from The Metallica Blacklist Album.

And of course, we kicked things off with the one and only, "Master of Puppets." If you missed the show, check out our full playlist below.

As long as "Master of Puppets" keeps enjoying that sweet Stranger Things success, we're going to keep celebrating the 36-year-old track. On the next Ultimate Metallica Show, I'm going to open Metallica's vault and share some of the earliest demo recordings of "Master of Puppets." If you want to hear anything else—or if you have any "Master of Puppets" memories—send me a message anytime this week on the CYY app.
