‘The Ultimate Metallica Show’ – Playlist and Recap – March 13, 2022

I'm counting down the days until Metallica make their triumphant return to New England...and as of right now, that's 76 days.

That's right, 76 days until Metallica headline the final night of Boston Calling on Sunday, May 29. The last time Metallica played New England was on May 19, 2017 at a little stadium you've maybe heard of: Gillette in Foxborough. And now, five years later, they're heading to Boston to close out Memorial Day weekend in heavy fashion.

So, every Sunday night from now until Boston Calling, we're going to dig deep into some of Metallica's past New England performances, and last night on The Ultimate Metallica Show, we cracked open that 2017 gig at Gillette for an amazing performance of "The Unforgiven."
