U.S. News & World Report released it's yearly high school rankings, and way to go Maine, we have the second best school!

 

It's the the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone. Ranked second in the entire country!

This is what U.S. News & World Report said about the Limestone high school:

The Maine School of Science and Mathematics is a boarding school that aims to foster a community learning environment by offering small class sizes, extracurricular activities and work assignments. Students live in a dorm, separated into wings by gender. The curriculum at MSSM includes Advanced Placement courses in physics, English and statistics. During January Term, students can participate in internships, conduct research projects or expand upon in-class learning.

 

According to WMTW they overhauled their process to rank schools this year by focusing on six factors: college readiness, reading and math proficiency, reading and math performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.

The number one school in the country is Academic Magnet High School in North Charleston in South Carolina. What are Maine's top 10 public high schools?
