WATCH: Kevin Faulk Burns Roger Goodell When Introducing Pick At NFL Draft
If you're a New England Patriots fan, there can never be enough moments like the one Kevin Faulk delivered at the NFL Draft on Friday night. Faulk was chosen by the NFL as one of the players to represent the Patriots in announcing a pick. The NFL does this with all teams. According to Boston.com, the plan for Faulk to wear a Tom Brady jersey came about during the last minute.
As Faulk strolled out to the stage with one of the key agitators in the "Deflategate" scandal Troy Vincent, he proudly announced that he was announcing the pick of behalf of both the New England Patriots as well as Tom Brady. ESPN edited it out the apparent burn on both the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell when they replayed the NFL Draft.
Joe Thuney, the lineman chosen with the very public display of support for Brady by Faulk, will forever live in infamy in Patriots history for his drafting. We'll see if he can live up to the status on the actual football field.
