Yup, the bada** stud of the weather world, Jim Cantore from the Weather Channel, is in New England for our latest storm, named Kenan.  So of course I had to track him down because we know what Jim's presence means, this Nor'easter is absolutely no joke..

When I caught up with Jim I asked him why New England, and Boston.  After all he could have gone to New York or Philly, even the Jersey shore, as they were pummeled, but nope, he chose New England.

I'll be honest, it was a touch choice.  Really tough.  But The Weather Channel gives me carte blanche to choose where I go and finally when the system lined up and I saw things setting up Boston for the possibility of a Top 5 snow storm Mother Nature made the choice for me.

Love you, Jim!

So there we have it, with Jim and his producer, Steve Petyerak in Boston, we can pretty much forgo any speculation on the power of Kenan.

Kenan is going to be exactly what we're expecting, and then some because Jim and Producer Steve are like the weather whisperers.

Armed with statistics, tidbits and passion, Jim and Producer Steve keep us consistently updated  even pro-storm, to the point of being transfixed to the TV.  I mean he's mesmerizing and exciting to watch and listen to, almost hypnotizing.

Steve and I should have bought a condo here years ago with the amount of time we've spent in New England.  And this year may not be an exception.  We'll see, but a storm like Kenan is over due for the area, especially Boston.

Still love you guys, even if you're anticipating a crazy winter.  And super nice are Jim and Producer Steve.

Just a side bar, when they had dinner in the North End prior to Kenan, they took time to chat with some fans before dinner, and chose Mike's for dessert. But I digress.

A hearty New Englander himself, and self-proclaimed weather geek born and raised in Connecticut and Vermont, Jim has been a meteorologist for the Weather Channel since he graduated from college in 1986, according to the Weather Channel website.

Even his Twitter bio is so cool kids table. I'm not the only one obsessed am I?  I mean in a non-stalkery way?

The Weather Channel may be based in Atlanta, but with Jim's reputation of traveling where the weather takes him, becoming a celebrity in his own right, he says his location is up to Mother Nature, and this time, it's New England, and the Boston area.

To follow the play by play of Jim online, here you go.  And of course The Weather Channel is his home away from home, sea to shining sea, snow storm to blazing fire, tornado to hurricane, and of course thundersnow.
