Four-dollar cheeseburgers are still a thing, but you gotta know where to look.

If you are on Gray Road in Falmouth then you have seen Harmon's Lunch. It's the definition of a hole in the wall. Covid changed how Harmon's does lunch. 10 years ago, you could sit at one of the 4-5 tables and grab a burger. It was made one way, and one way only. With mustard, relish, and fried onions. When you could sit inside, there was a sign over the grill that read,

This is not Burger King. You don't get it your way. You take it my way, or you don't get the damn thing.

Cheeseburgers were $2.75. When you start at $2.75 going up in price isn't that hard.

Harmon's is a cash-only place. It could be why I didn't see any 20-somethings there the day I went recently on a sunny March day. I had just enough cash to grab a couple of cheeseburgers (loaded) and a large onion ring. At $6 for the onion rings, it was the most expensive item I grabbed. They were amazing! Some of the best I've ever had.

You can no longer eat inside Harmon's. The booths are no longer available. A side effect of Covid - but to be honest there are some places only doing take-out since Covid and why not? People still stop by for lunch or a snack. You can sit at a picnic table and have some grub. I'd be lying if I said it hasn't changed. It has, but for over 60 years this little hamburger shack has been a staple for anyone on Gray Road in Falmouth.
