Maine is unique in many ways, including the red snapper hot dogs. It sure seems that many from away think they are wicked awesome. Two Maine restaurants made the list on the dailymeal.com's 'America's 50 Best Hot Dogs'!

The rankings come from data from the Center of Disease Control and Prevention. WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia based on 17 key indicators of weight-related problems.

The national magazine Saveur, has named Forage Market in Lewiston, Maine, as having one of America's best bagels.

Ogunquit, Maine has made Country Living's list of '20 Best Christmas Small Towns in America.'
