Highly Suspect Cancel Entire Tour Including Rescheduled State Theatre Performance
Over the past several weeks, it's become clear that concerts may have a difficult time returning in 2020. Several major rock tours have officially postponed their summer tours, including acts like Disturbed, Breaking Benjamin and Green Day. Now, you can officially add Highly Suspect to that list. The band took to social media to vent their frustrations and lay out their plans for the future.
The tour cancellation means that the Highly Suspect show originally scheduled at the State Theatre in Portland for May 16th and then moved to a later date is officially cancelled. The band will scrap all 2020 shows and regroup in 2021, with a new album and a potential tour towards the end of next year. But we'll just have to wait and see.
As for the rest of the summer tours that are scheduled, that's a different wait and see game. Many shows have already been rescheduled to later dates, including dates in 2021. Other tours are on hold, hopeful that the pandemic's effects will lessen as the temperatures warm up, allowing bands to honor their dates. There is no clear answer whether that is a possibility.
