This New Hampshire Aquarium Has a Unique Valentine's Day Tradition

Valentine's Day gifts don't have to be given on February 14.  You can bid on these adorable otter paintings for someone who loves animals or abstract art, and you have until February 19 to do so.

The Living Shores Aquarium in Glen, New Hampshire, has the most adorable paintings from some of their residents, specifically, the Asian Small Pawed Otters, Harry, Teddy, Peanut, Jelly and Saco.

Each otter creates a one-of-a-kind painting with their little paws.

If you're concerned about the actual paint on their paws and how it could be toxic to the animal, don't be.  The paint, according to Living Shores, is otter-safe.

This isn't the first year that they've done this either.

There are a limited number of paintings up for auction, I mean, c'mon, you think that the otters can just paint all day?  They have swimming and shrimp-eating to do, so there are only 10 that you can bid on until February 19, 2024.

Even if you don't win the auction, rest assured that your money will go to a good cause.  100% of the proceeds will go to Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Conway.

Allergy Warning on All Otter Paintings

This painting was created on January 22, 2024, by Peanut, Jelly and Saco, entitled, "Shrimply The Best."

There is a warning that goes with this painting though. There is shellfish on all otter canvas, and this specific painting has a piece of shrimp stuck in the paint.

It makes me wonder if the paintings have a certain "smell," but I assume they smell like happiness and joy.

You Can Win a NH Otter Painting

If you don't want to "shell out" any money for the paintings, you can win one.  Just fill out the form here.  Good luck!
