Maine Cops: Make Sure You Take Valuables Out of Vehicles in Augusta Area
The Kennebec County Sheriff's Department is reminding residents to take valuables out of their cars and lock them up.
The Bangor Daily News is reporting that there has been an increase in overnight thefts in the greater Augusta area, with the latest string of thefts occurring in the neighboring town of Chelsea.
The Sheriff's department, as you'd expect, recommends that you take valuables out of your vehicle if you don't need them, lock your car, or at least hide them from plan sight if you're going to leave your vehicle unattended for any period of time.
