Maine Could See A Heat Wave At The End Of March And We Deserve It

It's officially spring and that should mean longer days and warmer weather. Instead, we're staring at cooler temperatures and a potential nor'easter on Friday. Yay. But before you let that get you down, you may want to take a peek at what Mother Nature has in store for us towards the end of March and into the start of April.

Believe it or not, Maine and all of New England could be in for an abnormally warm stretch of weather. Typical temperatures for this time of year live in the 40's to low 50's, but for a few days at the end of March and early-April, most of Maine could be staring at highs in the mid 60's. Beach day anyone?

And while predicting weather 11-12 days out is an imperfect science, trends often tell a pretty solid story. Will it be warmer than normal during that stretch in late-March/early-April? You bet. Will it really be in the mid-to-upper 60's during that time? Let's pump the brakes and wait until we're 2-3 days out before locking that in.

But, 'tis the season to get our hopes up. After a winter that has felt like it's been here for a thousand years, we could all use a few pretend beach days.
