If you are looking for something a little different and fun to do on Fridays this summer, there's a great outdoor movies series happening in Auburn.

It all starts this weekend on June 11 at Anniversary Park with a showing of the classic 1978 musical film, "Grease" starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta.

What a blast that would be to get some friends together and sing along with all those great songs...Summer Lovin', Greased Lightning, You're The One That I Want, and more!

There will be 4 Friday showings, 1 Thursday showing and a special Saturday showing on Halloween weekend.

It's popular favorites on the big screen at different locations around Auburn from June 11 through October 30, put together by the good folks at the Auburn Recreation Department.

Here's the full list according to an article sent to us by loyal Blimpster, Stephen Martelli that he saw in the Twin City Times. Thanks Steve!

The Twin City Times article says,

"They will be shown on the city’s huge new 17’ x 30’  inflatable movie screen. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and snacks to enjoy."
