Putting this list together confirmed two things: time goes by way too fast, and Portland had (and still has) a wide variety of bands coming through our city.

The alt-rockers will bring along special guests Beach Slang for a show at Portland's newest music venue, Aura in May.

After months of planning and construction, the hotly anticipated new venue formerly known as the Asylum has a new name....and new shows!

We all knew it was coming. Whispers turned into statements and statements turned into reality this week as the Asylum began its multi-million dollar expansion with some serious demolition. Photos of the rubble have begun to circulate on social media with people having some bittersweet feelings...

There is always a hidden cost for expansion and that is what Portland residents and tourists will pay when the Asylum begins their renovation and expansion in the not-too-distant future. If you love checking out live music, there's a good chance you've stopped by the Asylum in Portland at least once in the last 20 years. All jokes aside, Portland's Asylum has become an institution for local music, local comedy, goth nights and a friendly sports bar...

As we get ready to say bye to summer, check out the concert calendar for the fall. Lot's goin' on!

Fans came from all over to watch former Sick Puppies singer play some favorites, a cover and a brand new song at his only east coast show!
