The Robbie Foundation’s 11th Annual NO LIMITS Run/Walk/Roll 5K is back!

Covid-19 has made us think differently about how to help those who need it. This year, the Robbie Foundation is celebrating 13 years of helping improve the quality of life for kids with special needs. One of their biggest fundraisers is the Run/Walk/Roll 5K. This year is its 11th, and we are so grateful to be in person again.

I love this organization and how it came to be. Lynn and Robert gave birth to their son Robbie in 1999. He was born with Cerebral Palsy. In an instant, their world was changed. I love what they wrote about having a son with special needs:

Does he test our endurance? Of course.

Do we ever feel cheated? Certainly.

Are we emotionally and physically drained at times? Yes.

But being this child’s parents has also brought more joy, fulfillment, and gratitude into our lives than we ever would have imagined. Robbie has taught us true love, patience, selflessness, and devotion. Being parents has changed our lives, but being Robbie’s parents has been an overwhelming blessing God planted on us years ago.

They have dedicated their lives to helping others overcome the challenges of raising a child with developmental disabilities. Let's help them make a difference! Register now!

LOOK: Things from the year you were born that don't exist anymore

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
