The Town of Yarmouth is Transforming Into a Giant Yard Sale September 25th
Trash to Treasure
There's this unique thrill that happens when you find a really good deal. Or when you find something you've been searching for ages. Maybe it's not something sold in stores anymore. Maybe a collectible, or something that reminds you of simpler times. Yard sales are amazing treasure hunting excursions that often result in those very finds.
Everyone knows someone who is a dedicated "yard sailor" that takes weekend mornings throughout the summer to tour yard sales. They'll make a list of addresses out of the newspaper or Facebook groups and come home with arms full of goodies. That takes a lot of time. And kudos for those people, but if you're like me and less ambitious, there's something incredibly intriguing about a one-stop (-ish) treasure hunt.
Yarmouth Town-Wide Yard Sale
The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce and the Yarmouth Clam Festival have teamed up for the inaugural Yarmouth Town-Wide Yard Sale.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 25th.
There are a ton of participants and likely more to come. From private residents to non-profit groups setting up throughout town.

Participating non-profits include Yarmouth High School where you can stop by between 9 and 3 to support the school. Yarmouth Lions Club will hold their sale from 9 to 4. St Bart's Episcopal Church 9 to noon. Girl Scouts of Maine Troop 447 will be set up at 114 Spring Street from 9 to 4. And First Universalist Church will also be from 9 to 4.
