To celebrate the one year anniversary of Pinky D's Poutine Factory inside Side By Each Brewing Company...there was a filling contest.

According to the Portland Press Herald, more than 700 people went to Side By Each Brewing up in Auburn to rejoice in all things poutine. It was all to celebrate Pinky D's Poutine Factory based inside. Pinky D's is a poutine food truck that found a permanent home inside Side By Each Brewing Co.

There was a contest as part of the celebration where 10 men, five teams of two had to down a ton of poutine. Here's what was presented to them:

five pounds of fries, three pounds of cheese curds and three-quarters of a gallon of gravy in 30 minutes or less.

Two firefighters from Auburn are the champs. They only left a tiny bit of gravy in their bowl.

According to the Press Herald, Pinky D's Randy Smith said,

Five minutes into it, all they had was gravy left. They were drinking the gravy out of the bowl and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is nuts.’ About 15 minutes (in), they were like, ‘There’s no way.'

The winners are Keith Saunders and Ed Dippilito. They picked up $100 prize and a T-shirt. I feel bad for their mom. Growing up, it must have cost a fortune to feed these two!

They are already making plans to do it again next year!
