There are a select few bands that continually come back to Maine to perform live every few years, Silversun Pickups are always showing Portland the love. As far as the show itself, they bring it every time. Singer Brian Aubert's signature vocal style combined with the bands high energy performance and the perfect light show are all contributing factors of why fans always make it a point to see this band live whenever they are in the hood.

Although at this point in their career, they are quite able to play larger venues but often stick to the smaller ones as they prefer the more intimate style shows which allow them to connect more with the fans.

It's always a treat when they come to town. WCYY is proud to present the return of Silversun Pickups at the State Theatre on Saturday, March 9th with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10am. Fans can snag tickets here or get them at the State Theatre box office at 609 Congress St in Portland on Fridays from 10a-5p.

The last time the band was in town was in July of 2019 where they played the State. The show before that was at the Cross Insurance Arena here in Portland - WCYY's Spring Fling! Anyone? If you were there, you remember. Silversun Pickups brought the house down along with a never disappointing performance from Cage the Elephant, The Foals and Bear Hands.

Rob and Joey had some laughs with the band before their performance that night and we dug up the video from March 31, 2016.
