A “Busty” Mermaid Sand Sculpture Has Cape Cod Residents Angry

If you visit West Yarmouth, a town located in Cape Cod, you will likely see 41 sand sculptures that people created as part of the Yarmouth Summer Celebration. There is one in particular that seems to be getting the most attention....both good and bad.

This particular mermaid is wearing a clam shell bikini.....hmm, how ironic. Although some people are fascinated, others are not. Some residents are upset and both the Chamber of Commerce and the police have received comments. The owner of Salty’s, Raymond Roy, told the Cape Cod Times that he doesn’t understand all the fuss.
