Andrew McMahon Makes Chinese Veggie Stir Fry in REVERB’s Quarantine Kitchen
This is the best cooking show we've seen in a long time. Our friends at REVERB have been doing something called "Quarantine Kitchen", and we know you CYY listeners are going to love it.
If you don't know about REVERB...which is based right here in Portland... its mission is all about:
"Uniting around the music we love, tackling the environmental and social issues we face, REVERB is a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering millions of individuals to take action toward a better future for people and the planet."
Quarantine Kitchen is hosted by our great friend Adam Gardner. Adam is the Co-Director of REVERB and Guster's amazing guitarist and singer. Basically, Adam calls up his musician friends who get to be guest chefs on his show and cook up some cool sustainable recipes. Along the way, they chat about music, food, the environment, and more.
In the latest episode of Quarantine Kitchen, Adam welcomes Andrew McMahon. CYY listeners know Andrew from being in Jack's Mannequin from back in the day and has had an amazing career since then. Does anybody remember ducking under the giant multi-colored parachute at the Andrew McMahon State Theatre show a few years back? Or seeing him play on the CYY Patio for the Old Port Festival? Yup, the guy is great. And a pretty good cook too!
