I was going through my ticket stub collection recently – yep, big nerd alert – and noticed that the State Theatre was poppin’ with some big shows in the spring of 2012. People were done with winter, ready to get out of the house, and the State gave us plenty to do.

Fifteen years ago, on April 15, 2010. It was a first night of a new leg of the big reunion tour. Alice In Chains made a triumphant return to Portland, Maine, performing at the Cumberland County Civic Center, and the crowd went wild.
Up until 2006, there was also a little-known, totally random loophole in place where you could purchase your concert and event tickets in Maine, without having to pay all of the extra fees that came with them—and it was a place where you’d least expect it inside the Maine Mall.
