Portland Quest

Thanks, again, for coming along for the ride this past Summer on my #PortlandQuest. It was a good time getting out there, and seeing some sights. Along the way there were weeks where you guessed the correct answer and others where you were stumped, but it was all intended to be fun and educational.

A few days ago, I posted some pictures of a historic place within the boundaries of Portland.  Quite the place!

I've had a great summer playing #PortlandQuest, happening on a few unknown spots, and a few that are too well known--Gold Street, for example!

A few days ago, I put up a couple pictures of something pretty commonplace in Portland--iron gating running along the front of a trimmed lawn somewhere in the city. More commonplace than I thought.

Gates are great in Portland. We have so much iron protecting our yards from dogs during our neighborhood walks. We also have numerous dudes and dudettes per year jumping these gates to impress their dates.

I have a great job: excellent parking, superb coffee and the freedom to get out into Portland and get my hands dirty--looking for the nitty gritty of the city.  So far, quite the ride. Thanks for hitching along.
